Sihanoukville province (also known as Kampong Som or Kampong Saom) is a small province in the south of Cambodia. This province was found in 1964 as the only deep-water harbor in Cambodia. It’s now developed as a tourist attraction although the number of tourists is still low. Here is a wonderful destination for the tourists with sand beaches and several paradise islands. Sihanoukville’s capital is named after the king to honor his contribution for Cambodia’s independence. The capital is laid on a peninsula with beaches and tropical islands around. To be in Sihanoukville, tourists have to pass the distance of 232 kilometers long on National Highway No 4.
