Located 7 km south of the Bantey Srei Temple complex in Angkor National Park, the Landmine Museum offer tourists and Cambodians the chance to see (safe) lanmines up close, understand how they work, and what they can do to help rid Cambodia and the world of their continuing threat. The Landmine Museum was founded by ex-child soldier Aki Ra as a way to tell the world about the horrors landmines had infilcted on his native Cambodia. He used the proceed to clear landmines wherever he could find them. You do not need a Temple Pass to visit the Museum. It is a 30 minute tuk tuk ride from downtown Siem Reap.
You will travel through beautiful countryide villages, rice paddies and have the opportunity to take breathtaking photographs of locals working their fields. you can also shop outside the hussle and bussle of town, finding handicrafts made locally.
